    When a baseball was dropped from above the surface of the Moon, it would fall toward the Moon’s surface because the force of gravity of the Moon is about 1/6 of the weight the baseball on Earth’s weigh, which is much stronger than the distant Earth. In addition, the Moon's acceleration due to gravity is 1.625 meters per second squared.
