Why do automobiles rust more easily in wet climates than drier climates?

    Why do they rust in wet environs as opposed to dry? Because chemical reactions take place best in solution, when atoms are more able to move around and more likely to come in contact with each other to create bonds. Temperature also plays a role, that's why rusting happens quicker in warm wet environments.
