Technician A says the speeds at which two meshed gears turn depend on the number of teeth on each gear. Technician B says if the driving gear has fewer teeth than the driven gear, the speed of the driven gear increases. Who is correct?

    "The speeds at which two meshed gears turn depend on the number of teeth on each gear" this statement is correct.

    "If the driving gear has fewer teeth than the driven gear, the speed of the driven gear increases" this statement is false. In the later case speed of the driven gear decreases. If driving gear has 5 teeth and driven gear has 25 teeth, the for making one rotation of driven gear, driver gear has to make 5 rotations.
