    The answer is all of the above. There are huge reservoirs of natural gas and oil in the marine floor, which is curretly extracted using oil rigs. Also, the seabed is rich in minerals such as they are any parts of the ground that is not covered by water today. Remember that in the past all ths surface of the Earth were covered by water, i. e. all the surface was ocean floor.
