    Therefore, initial velocity is zero, u = 0, and the acceleration is due to gravity, thus, a = 9.8 m/s², t = 1.2 seconds

    Thus;

    The equation becomes;

    v = gt, since; u = 0, and a = g = 9.8 m/s²

    v = 9.8 * 1.2

    = 11.76 m/s

    ≈ 11.8 m/s
