A triangular plate made of homogeneous material has a constant thickness that is very small. if it is folded over as shown, determine the location z¯ of the plate's center of gravity g.

    b = 3cm,

    c = 1cm,

    d = 3cm,

    e = 1cm,

    f = 3cm

    Based on this given information we can determine the location of Yc

    Solution:

    Yc = 2db (b/2) + (1/2) 2cb (2b/3) + (1/2) 2ef (f/3) divided by 2db + (1/2) 2cb + (1/2) 2d (a+f)

    = 2*3*3 (3/2) + (1/2) 2*1*3 ((2*3) / 3) + (1/2) 2*1*3 (3/3) divided by 2*3*3 + (1/2) 2*1*3 + (1/2) 2*3 (6 + 3)

    Yc = 0.75 cm

    The answer in this question is 0.75 cm

    The location of Yc of the plate's center of gravity G is 0.75 cm
