How many minutes does it take a train starting at rest to reach a velocity of 22.0 kmh-1 at an acceleration of 0.2ms-2?

    1 hour = 3,600 seconds.

    1 km = 1,000 meters

    So 22 km/hr = (22,000/3,600) = 6.111 ... meters/second

    To reach that speed with acceleration of 0.2 m/s², it will take

    (6.111 ... m/s) / (0.2 m/s²) = (30 and 5/9) seconds

    = 0.509 minute (rounded)
