    Weight changes depending on distance from the earth, mass does not.

    Weight can be defined as the force exerted on an object due to the effects of gravity.

    As we move far away from the Earth, the effects of gravity lessen and thus the weight decreases. (But the mass remains constant, because it only depends on the volume and density of the object)
