    Static friction occurs when the body tends to move. Static friction adjusts itself. Thus, larger energy is required if static friction is required to be overcome. Tristan is working with static friction.

    Arya is working with sliding friction which occurs when the body slides. Anoush is working with rolling friction. Rolling friction occurs when the body tends to roll. It is easy to roll than slide a body which means rolling friction is less as compared to sliding friction. Keran is working with fluid friction. friction due to relative motion in liquids and gases is known as fluid friction. It is the least when compared to rest three explained above.

    Thus, option A is correct that Tristan and Arya would have to exert more energy to overcome the friction as compared to other two.
