The calorimeter is made up of copper but not of glass? Why?

    To neglect extra heat loss through the container. Copper or Cu has a low specific heat capacity so it reaches equilibrium temperature quickly and only absorbs a very small amount of heat allowing for minimal heat/energy loss during the experiment.
