    These group of cells that perform the same function is called a tissue. Both animal and plant cells can form tissue. An example is bone tissue in animals. A living tissue is composed of a group of cells with a similar structure and function, which all perform together a specific task or job.

    Examples of tissues include:

    1. Lining of the lungs

    2. Lining of the intestines

    3. muscle

    4. Xylem in plants.

    A group of different tissues performing the same task make up an organ.
