What happens to a mirror when a ray is directed at it

    Nothing happens to the mirror.

    However, if the ray is within some suitable range of

    wavelengths, the ray is reflected from the mirror's surface.

    As the mirror has a shiny and polished surface, when a ray is directed at it, the ray is reflected. If the mirror is polished and smooth, then the angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence
