    C = - 4.5 i + 75.6 j

    Explanation:

    In order to find the components of vector C we must sum each of the components in x & y of vectors A, B, C and equal to zero:

    A = - 8.7 i + 15 j

    B = 13.2 i - 60.6 j

    C = ?

    (A) + (B) + (C) = 0

    (-8.7 i + 15 j) + (13.2 i - 60.6 j) + C = 0

    For the x component

    - 8.7 + 13.2 + x = 0

    x = - 4.5 [cm]

    For the y component

    - 15 - 60.6 + y = 0

    y = 75.6 [cm]

    Therefore the vector C is equal to:

    C = - 4.5 i + 75.6 j
