A battery of 9 V is connected in series with resistors of 0.2 Ω, 0.3 Ω, 0.4 Ω , 0.5 Ωand 12 Ω, respectively. How much current would flow through th 12 Ωresistor?

    Answer: The current will 0.67A.

    Explanation: In a series circuit the current remains the same. Every resistor will receive the same current.

    The first step is to calculate the total resistance by adding the amount of the resistors which is 13.4 ohms.

    Then we can use this formula v=Ir

    9v=I (13.4)

    I=0.67A
