2. Which would take more work: lifting a 4 N box 0.5 m or a 1 N box 4 m? Explain your answer.

    Answer;

    Lifting a 1 N box for 4 m, will take more work

    Explanation;

    Work is done when a an object with a certain weight is moved at a given distance;

    It is the product of force and distance and therefore varies directly to both distance and force.

    Work = Force * distance;

    For a 4 N box 0.5 m;

    Work = 4 * 0.5

    = 2 Joules

    For a 1 N box 4 m

    Work = 1 * 4

    = 4 Joules

    Therefore, Lifting a 1 N box for 4 m, will take more work
