    Atmospheric Carbon can be dissolved directly into the ocean or through precipitation. It flows and gets to the ocean. They are then taken up by marine organisms for production and strengthening of their shells and skeletons.

    Carbon can also react with other elements to form limestone or sedimentary rocks.
