Tp-11 why must you operate the exhaust blower before starting a boat's inboard gasoline engine?

    The boat's gasoline engine needs a constant supply of oxygen-rich air, and by not immediately operating the exhaust blower the engine may be choked with exhaust gases. The passengers may also get sick from the nauseous fumes that the engine emits.
