    Stars are usually forms with in the clouds of dust. Their formation starts when the denser part of the cloud collapse due to their own weight or gravity. Their formation time differ because all of the stars are not the same. Some are different in terms of how dense they are or some varies in terms of the pressures or temperatures on them. That's why the time period of their formation is not the same.
