Sample A is either a metalloid or metal because metalloids and metals are always solid at room temperature.

Sample B is a nonmetal because nonmetals can be solid, liquid, or gas at room temperature. Also, a metal or metalloid would be solid at room temperature, so sample B has to be a nonmetal.

Sample C is also a nonmetal for the same reason as sample B.
