    Use the defining equation for kinetic energy.

    E = mv² / 2

    E = (1500kg) (2 m/s) ² / 2

    E = 6000 J / 2

    E = 3000 J

    Therefore, the cars kinetic energy is 3000 J.

    K. E = 1/2 mv2

    =1/2 (1500) (2) 2

    =3000J
