A 12 kg ball moving at 20 m/s strikes another ball at rest. After a completely inelastic collision, the balls move at 10 m/s. What was the mass of the second ball?

    (12) (20) + (x) (0) = (12+x) (10)

    240=120+10x

    120=10x

    x=12 kg
