    V = πr²h

    V = volume of cylinder = (area of cylindrical cross section (i. e. πr²)) * (height of cylinder)

    A = πr² (area of cylindrical cross section where r is the radius of the circular cross section)

    h = height of cylinder

    The volume of a cylinder with flat ends is

    Volume = (pi) x (radius of the end) ² x (length or height).
