A yellow ball with a mass of 2 kg is rolling across the floor at 3 mis. A red ball with a mass of 3 kg is rolling across th

same floor at 3 mis. Which ball has greater Kinetic energy, and why?

A) The yellow ball has greater kinetic energy, because it is rolling at a higher position above the ground.

B) The red ball has greater kinetic energy, because it has a greater mass.

C) The yellow ball has greater kinetic energy, because it is rolling at a greater speed

D) The red ball has greater kinetic energy, because it is releasing more thermal energy.

    The equation for kinetic energy is

    Ke=1/2mv^2

    Therefore, the yellow ball would be 1/2 (2) (3) ^2 and red would be 1/2 (3) (3) ^2. The red ball would have a greater kinetic energy

    Red ball = 13.5

    Yellow ball=9

    The answer would be B because the red ball has a greater mass
