    According to lenz's law, the magnetic field of an induced current in a conductor will have a direction such that it opposes the change in magnetic flux through the area enclosed by the conductor itself.

    In other words: if the magnetic flux through the area enclosed by the conductor is increasing, then the direction of the induced current will be such that the magnetic field produced by this current will oppose this increasing of magnetic flux (so, the induced magnetic field will be directed in the opposite direction of the initial magnetic field).

    Vice-versa, if the magnetic flux through the area enclosed by the conductor is decreasing, then the direction of the induced current will be such that the magnetic field produced by this current will oppose this decreasing of magnetic flux (so, the induced magnetic field will be directed in the same direction as the initial magnetic field).
