    Resistance depends on Thickness, Length, Texture and Temperature of the wire.

    Explanation:

    Electric current can be considered as the water flowing through a hose.

    1 - More thickness of the hose will result in more flow of the water. Similarly, more thickness of the wire will result in more flow of the current and Resistance will decrease.

    2 - More length of the hose, more harder for the water to flow through it. Similarly, more length of the wire, more harder for the current to flow and Resistance will increase

    3 - Resistance also depends on Texture/Material of the wire because each material has its own resistivity. Some have high and some have low. For example, copper is considered to have low resistivity.

    4 - Resistance is also dependent on the temperature as temperature can change the physical dimensions of the wire. Usually, conductors increase their resistance with increase in temperture while insulators do the opposite.
