How has scientific experimentation affected the model of an atom? The atomic model has become more accurate because of this experimentation. The atomic model has become a less accurate representation of the actual atom. We understand less about the atom due to these experiments. We are less able to design an accurate model as a result of these experiments.

    The atom is made of protons, neutrons and electrons

    Most of the space is taken up by the area where the electrons exist

    The protons and neutrons are in the core of the atom - called the nucleus
