Atomic Nuclear's significance is that it proves the idea of quantum tunneling in the branch of quantum physics. The barriers that keep nuclear energy together are very high. Quantum mechanics sometimes tells us that particles can sometimes tunnel through the walls over they cannot climb and it happens at random intervals and unpredictably.

The social implications of using this process are the same as the social implications of using any natural phenomenon.
