    charge q = 11 x 10⁻⁶ C

If the charge were inside the square, according to Gauss's law

electric flux through the walls of square wiil be

    = q / ε

Now, the charge is lying just on one of the faces of the square, (10 cm above the center of a square of side length 20 cm), only half the flux as mentioned above will pass through the square.

    flux through the square

    = 1/2 x (q / ε)

    = 1/2 x (11 x 10⁻⁶ / 8.85 x 10⁻¹²)

    =.6214 x 10⁶ weber.
