A child pulls a balloon for 12 m with a force of 1.0 n at an angle of 60 below horizontal. how much work does the child do on the balloon?

    Since the balloon is moving horizontally and force is applied at an angle, we will first find out the horizontal component of force.

    cos (60) = x/1, x = 0.5 N

    Work done = force*distance = 0.5*12 = 6 Joules
