    The total resistance of a circuit can be found by knowing the potential difference and current flowing through the circuit.

    Explanation:

    The connected wires, devices, connected resistors and also the internal resistance of the battery opposes the flow of current through the circuit. These combinations gives the total resistance of the circuit. In circuits, the total resistance in a circuit can be found from the total resistors connected across the circuit. If the potential difference and the current flowing through the circuit is known, then the total resistance in the circuit can be calculated from the Ohms's law.

    V = IR

    R = V / I
