What kind of energy is used when throwing a baseball? when you catch the ball, is the energy gained or lost?

    When throwing a baseball, you are using kinetic energy. When it is in the air, there is potential energy, then when it is caught, the energy is transferred to the person who caught it. It is energy gained. The ball is also an example of inertia.
