    Explanation:

    Filtration techniques is a separation technique used to separate mixture of heterogeneous materials eg a mixture of sand and water can be separated using filtration method just by simply using filter paper and run the solution through the set up.

    The mixture must be heterogeneous I. e are not soluble together.

    A mixture of salt and water can not be separated with filtration technique because salt is soluble in water.

    To effectively use filtration method, a filter paper, sieve or any material that isn't porous enough for the other material to pass through can be used.
