    It exerts pressure everywhere inside the container.

    Explanation:

    Pressure is the forelce exerted by a body per crossectional area, ie pressure is force/area. In fluid system an important law that explains the behavior of fluid in a closed vessel is the Pascal law. It state that a liquid in a containing vessel exerts pressure undiminished in all direction in a vessel and to all portion of the fluid.
