    The voltage is 5000 V

    Explanation:

    Electric Potential energy: This can be defined as the energy or the work done i moving a charge against an electric field. The S. I unit of electric potential is Joules (J)

    It can be represented mathematically as

    W = VQ ... Equation 1

    V = W/Q ... Equation 2

    Where W = Electric potential energy, V = voltage, Q = charge.

    Given: W = 0.5 J, Q = 0.0001 C.

    Substituting these values in into equation 2

    V = 0.5/0.0001

    V = 5000 V

    Therefore the voltage is 5000 V
