Max is taking his human, Frank, for a walk. Answer the three questions below using three significant figures. Part A: You can see that Frank is getting dragged behind Max, and this means that Max has to pull with a force of 290 N. How much power (P 1) does Max have to supply in order to pull Frank at a speed of 0.425 m/s?

    The power that Max has to supply is 123.25 W

    Explanation:

    Given dа ta:

    F = 290 N

    v = 0.425 m/s

    The power that Max has to supply is:

    P = F * v = 290 * 0.425 = 123.25 W

    123.25 W

    Explanation:

    Part A

    Power: The can be defined as the rate at which energy is used up. The S. I unit of power is Watt (W).

    From the question,

    P1 = F*v ... Equation 1

    Where P1 = Max's power, F = Force used by max to pull Frank, v = velocity of Frank.

    Given: F = 290 N, v = 0.425 m/s

    Substitute into equation 1

    P1 = 290*0.425

    P1 = 123.25 W.

    Hence the power supplied by Max = 123.25 W
