    The answer is C. Gamma rays are the highest energy electromagnetic waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. There are produced through radioactive nuclei decay (fission and fusion) that occurs in centers of stars. Infrared, on the other hand, is used to detect heat signatures. Infrared is produced by hot objects since its one way that heat is transferred from one place to another (apart from conduction and convection).
