A treasure chest has a mass of 5200g and a volume of 1400ml. Does it float in fresh water. Show your work.

    ρ = 5200 g / 1400 mL

    ρ = 3.7 g/mL

    The treasure chest has a higher density than water (1 g/mL), so it sinks.
