Work done by any body is the distance it moves as a result of applied force. It is expressed mathematically below;
Work done = Force x distance moved
In this kind of problem,
Distance moved = height of rise
Force = weight of tree = m g
Where m = mass of tree
g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8m/s²
Now;
W = mgh
W = m x 9.8 x 2.75
W = 26.95 x m Joules
