the area of a rectangular room is calculated by multiplying the length of the room by the width of the room. what is the total of a room with a length of 10.1 m and a width of 6.0 m, expressed with the correct number of significant figures?

    Explanation:

    One of the rules in significant figures is that trailing zeros to the right of the decimal are significant. Another is that numbers that aren't leading or trailing zeros always count. So say we have the number 600, the two zeros trailing after the six aren't significant figures, only the 6. Also, the number 006, the two zeros leading to six aren't significant too.
