    The word "dropped" means that the bag is in free fall and that its initial velocity is zero. In a free-falling body, the value of the final velocity is obtained through the equation,

    Vf = gt

    where g is the acceleration due to gravity, 9.8 m/s².

    Substituting,

    Vf = (9.8 m/s²) (2 s) = 19.6 m/s

    Therefore, the bag's velocity is 19.6 m/s.
