Three resistors which values of 15 ohm 40 ohm 60 ohm respectively are connected in parallel. what is their equivalent resistance? if a 115v potential difference is applied to the circuit, what is the total current through the circuit? provide a schematic diagram of the circuit.

    1) Equivalent resistance, 1/R = 1/15 + 1/40 + 1/60 = 8+3+2 / 120 = 13/120

    R = 120/13 = 9.23

    2) Current, I = V/R = 115/9.23 = 12.45 A
