What is the kinetic energy of a 10 g bullet moving at 300 m/s?

    Kinetic energy = (1/2) (mass) (speed) ²

    mass of the bullet = 10 grams = 0.01 kilogram

    speed of the bullet = 300 m/s

    Kinetic energy = (1/2) (0.01 kg) (300 m/s) ²

    = (0.005 kg) (90,000 m²/s²)

    = (0.005 x 90,000) kg-m²/s²

    = 450 kg-m²/s²

    = 450 joules
