How does the sun shine more in Alaska than the United states

    Alaska is located in the far north, near the North Pole, and is very near the earth's northernmost axis, which brings it closer to the sun when the earth tilts one way. This is why Alaska has really long days during the summer, as compared to the United States, which is located father away from the north pole.
