Just as on Earth, half of the moon's surface is light and half is dark, but the area keeps changing. There's no place that's always light or always dark.

There is a near side and far side that are fixed because the moon is locked in its rotation with Earth. However about every month it makes a full orbit around Earth and in doing so every side is eventually exposed to the sun. Therefore there is not a permanent dark side. This means days on the moon are around 28 Earth days long.
