Identical amounts of heat are applied to 50-g blocks of lead, silver, and copper, all at an initial temperature of 25 °c. which block will have the largest increase in temperature?

    H = mcpdT

    where H is heat, m is the mass, cp is the specific heat of gravity, and dT is the temperature difference.

    If all else are to be equal except the values of cp and dT then, they should be inversely proportional.

    The heat capacities of the metals in the given are: (1) lead - 0.128 J/gK, (2) silver - 0.240 J/gK, (3) copper - 0.385 J/gK.

    Since, lead has the smallest value for cp then it will have the highest dT.
