Dog chases a cat in a circle around the base of a tree. if the velocity of the dog is 0.35 m/s and the radius of the circle is 0.75 m, what is the centripetal acceleration of the dog? 0.16 m/s2 0.47 m/s2 2.14 m/s2 6.25 m/s2

    Centripetal Acceleration, a = v² / r

    where v = velocity, r = radius.

    a = 0.35² / 0.75 use a calculator.

    a = 0.1633 ...

    a ≈ 0.16 m/s²
