    (a) 918.37 kg

    (b) 2020.41 lbs

    Explanation:

    number of students = 20

    Force of each student = 450 N

    Total upward force = 450 x 20 = 9000 N

    (a)

    Let m be the mass of car

    F = m x g

    9000 = m x 9.8

    m = 918.37 kg

    (b)

    As we know that, 1 kg = 2.20 lbs

    So, 918.37 kg = 2.20 x 918.37 = 2020.41 lbs
