One group of students is investigating the properties of charged objects. Their observations are listed below. When two positively charged objects are brought close to each other, they push each other away. When two negatively charged objects are brought close to each other, they push each other away. When a positively charged object is brought close to a negatively charged object, they pull toward each other. The experiment was repeated by several students using different charged objects. The results were the same. Based on the investigations, which of these theories would the students most likely propose? similar charges attract similar charges repel positive charges attract all charges negative charges attract all charges

As we can see the observations are as follows

    1. Two negative charge repel each other when they bought closer

    2. Two positive charge repel each other when they bought closer

    3. One negative charge will attract towards the positive charge when they bought closer.

So as per above all observations we can say that when two similar charges either two positive or two negative are come closer to each other then they always repel each other

While when two opposite charges come closer to each other then they always attract each other

    so correct answer will be

    similar charges repel
