    Formula to calculate gravitational potential energy

    gravitational P. E = mgh

    where m = mass

    GPE' = new gravitational P. E

    mgh' / mgh = GPE' / GPE

    mg500/mg100 = GPE' / GPE

    cancelling mg

    500/100 = GPE' / GPE
