    Meteor

    Explanation:

Meteoroids are small fragments of rock from the debris of an asteroid that is outside of the Earth's atmosphere. When one of this fragments of rock cross in the orbital Earth's path, it will start to enter the Earth's atmosphere and it will ignite as a consequence of the friction between the rock and the atmosphere, and due to its velocity it will be seen as a streak of light of different colors on the celestial sphere depending on the chemical composition in that particular place of the atmosphere. In that scenario, a Meteor is gotten.

On the other hand, a Meteorite is gotten if that Meteor doesn't completely disintegrate in the atmosphere and is capable to reach the ground.
